CCTV’s copyright scandal is escalating. On ↗️ CopyCatTV.com, we are now publishing detailed evidence showing how China’s state broadcaster not only stole U.S.-registered footage but also lied under oath in the DMCA system.
Instead of negotiating in good faith, CCTV filed fraudulent counter-notifications on YouTube — swearing they used “2–3 seconds” when in fact they copied 14 sequences totaling nearly a full minute. Their lies were submitted under penalty of perjury, locking them into U.S. jurisdiction and exposing them to statutory damages, fraud liability, and global accountability.
On ↗️ CopyCatTV.com, we will gradually expose the entire case:
⚖️ This is just the beginning of a global litigation campaign against CCTV, CCTV+, CGTN, and their distributors. Other networks should take this as a serious warning: follow the same path of infringement, and you will go down in the same legal fire.

Armed with timestamps, U.S. copyright registrations, and moral conviction, Miroslaw Wawak—aka One Man Wolf Pack—has done what no court or platform dared to: dismantle a pillar of online propaganda from the ground up.
A Historic Takedown of State Propaganda by Civilian Copyright Strikes
As of May 5, 2025, the YouTube channel "CCTV Chinese"
The cause? Not a government order, not a platform policy update, but a relentless civilian copyright enforcement campaign led by a single independent creator.

Read our Public Statement of Disassociation »Using digital tools and timestamps, how his copyrighted footage was reused without authorization by CCTV and its international partners. The centerpiece of the infringement: peaceful aerial footage of Taipei, Taiwan, deceptively repurposed into a scene within a Chinese military simulation portraying an attack on the island.
Rather than seek sympathy, Wawak filed precisely crafted DMCA takedown notices—backed by U.S. Copyright Registration PA 2-361-746 and irrefutable timestamp comparisons. And when CCTV attempted to delay or ignore action, he didn't blink. He waited. Documented. And counted down.
With YouTube’s three-strike policy in place, the final strike against CCTV Chinese triggered the platform’s automatic termination mechanism, after three confirmed copyright strikes filed at different times. No backroom deals. No diplomatic immunity. Just the law—and a creator willing to enforce it.
With the CCTV Chinese channel ↗️TERMINATED, YouTube now has the opportunity—and responsibility—to uphold this enforcement standard. The strike system worked. But this case also exposed its limits: delayed processing, slow responses to counter-notification fraud, and the systemic risk of unchecked syndication chains.
For Wawak, this takedown is just the beginning. Legal actions are underway against downstream publishers who received and published the infringing material. Settlement offers have been ignored. Cease & Desist letters have gone unanswered.
“They used my peaceful footage to simulate war. That’s not Fair Use. That’s not journalism. That’s propaganda—and I’ll hold them all accountable,” Wawak said.
And now, thanks to the rules of YouTube and the power of intellectual property law, one of the world’s most powerful state media outlets has fallen—not through censorship, but through creative ownership.
Creators have power. Copyright is not just a technicality—it’s a tool of truth.
They used my footage. They got caught. Then they lied. That’s not journalism—it’s propaganda. And yes, I will hold them all accountable.
And when even the strongest propaganda machines ignore that… they, too, get the 404 Monkey.
The official YouTube channel of CCTV Chinese—China’s state-run media agency—has been permanently removed from the platform after a series of verified copyright strikes by independent filmmaker Miroslaw Wawak. This unprecedented action demonstrates how individual creators can dismantle global propaganda pipelines using legal tools and timestamped proof. The takedown sends a clear message: no outlet, no matter how powerful, is above the law. What began as stolen footage used in a military simulation has ended in a global reckoning for unchecked media syndication.
