Brazil Drone Flight: Brazil, a vast South American country, stretches from the Amazon Basin in the north to vineyards and massive Iguaçu Falls in the south. Rio de Janeiro, symbolized by its 38m Christ the Redeemer statue atop Mount Corcovado, is famed for its busy Copacabana and Ipanema beaches as well as its enormous, raucous Carnaval festival, featuring parade floats, flamboyant costumes, and samba music and dance. Vibrant São Paulo is packed with shops, restaurants and cultural institutions including the noted Museum of Art. Brazils capital, Brasília, founded in 1960, is a planned city with modernist buildings by Oscar Niemeyer. The northeastern state of Bahia, known for beaches and dense Amazon rainforest, reflects African influences in its capoeira martial arts, axé dance music and moqueca (a coconut milk-seafood stew). Its capital, Salvador, retains its 16th- and 17th-century core. Farther north are Alagoas coral reefs, Maranhãos sand dunes and Portuguese colonial town Olinda. Cayenne Drone Flight: Cayenne is the capital of French Guiana, on the northeast coast of South America. Its 17th-century old town district blends influences from France, the Caribbean and Brazil. Tropical-colored Creole-style houses sit beside hilltop ruins of the French colonial Fort Cépérou, which overlooks the Cayenne River. Shops and cafes can be found on the main commercial thoroughfare, Avenue du Général de Gaulle. Place des Palmistes, at Général de Gaulles west end, is a palm-filled square surrounded by food carts. Nearby is the bright-yellow 19th-century Hôtel de Ville (the town hall). The Place Victor Schoelcher market features local spices, Amerindian crafts and Asian food. The Musée des Cultures Guyanaises focuses on the regions many ethnicities, while the Musée Alexandre Franconie has wildlife displays. The suburb of Remire-Montjoly to the east offers honey-colored beaches where leatherback turtles lay eggs, Fort Diamant overlooking the Mahury River and the 5km-long Rorota rainforest trail. French Guiana is an overseas department of France on the northeast coast of South America, composed mainly of tropical rainforest. The ruins of 17th-century Fort Cépérou overlook the capital, Cayenne, with its colorful Creole houses and street markets. Shops and cafes surround the palm-filled main square, Place des Palmistes. The Rémire-Montjoly suburb is lined with Atlantic coast beaches. To the northwest is the coastal town of Kourou, home to the Guiana Space Centre, a spacecraft launch site and museum offering guided tours. Offshore are the Îles du Salut, comprising 3 small islands with the ruins of a notorious penal colony known as Devils Island, portrayed in Henri Charrières book “Papillon.” Huge leatherback turtles come ashore, notably in the Awala-Yalimapo commune on the Suriname border, during nesting season. Upriver is Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, a small colonial-style settlement where pirogue boat trips head inland to explore villages and Amazonian rainforest. [Source: wikipedia // Google]

Paraiba Drone Flight: Paraíba, a state in Brazils Northeast, is known for its tropical coastline and Portuguese colonial architecture. The capital, João Pessoa, has beaches like Manaíra and Tambau, plus offshore reef-lined dive sites. By the Paraíba River, the citys historic center offers colorful homes and the baroque-style São Francisco church. Ponta do Seixas, with nearby Cabo Branco Lighthouse, marks the Americas easternmost point. The star-shaped Fort of Santa Catarina, at the mouth of the Paraíba River, was built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. North and south of the river, the coast is lined with ochre-colored cliffs, fishing villages and tranquil beaches. The green coastal strip, covered with sugarcane and native Atlantic Forest, extends inland to the large commercial center Campina Grande. In the western interior, the Sertão is a sparsely populated, semiarid region. Chicago: The Loop (historically Union Loop) is the 1.79-mile (2.88 km) long circuit of elevated rail that forms the hub of the Chicago L system in the United States. As of 2012, the branch has served 74,651 passengers every weekday. The Loop is so named because the elevated tracks loop around a rectangle formed by Lake Street (north side), Wabash Avenue (east), Van Buren Street (south), and Wells Street (west). The railway loop has given its name to Chicagos downtown, which is also known as the Loop. Transit began to appear in Chicago in the latter half of the 19th century as the city grew rapidly, and rapid transit started to be built the late 1880s. When the first rapid transit lines opened in the 1890s, they were independently owned and each had terminals that were located immediately outside of Chicagos downtown, where it was considered too expensive and politically inexpedient to build rapid transit. Charles Tyson Yerkes aggregated the competing rapid transit lines and built a loop connecting them, which was constructed and opened in piecemeal fashion between 1895 and 1897, finally completing its last connection in 1900. Upon its completion ridership on the Loop was incredibly high, such that the lines that had closed their terminals outside of downtown had to reopen them to accommodate the surplus rush-hour traffic. // The Chicago L (short for elevated) is the rapid transit system serving the city of Chicago and some of its surrounding suburbs in the U.S. state of Illinois. Operated by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), it is the fourth-largest rapid transit system in the United States in terms of total route length, at 102.8 miles (165.4 km) long as of 2014, and the third-busiest rail mass transit system in the United States, after the New York City Subway and the Washington Metro. In 2016, the L had 1,492 rail cars, eight different routes, and 145 train stations; average weekday ridership was 759,866. The L provides 24-hour service on the Red and Blue Lines and is one of only five rapid transit systems in the United States to do so. The oldest sections of the Chicago L started operations in 1892, making it the second-oldest rapid transit system in the Americas, after New York Citys elevated lines.
