Taiwan Drone Flight: Taiwan, 180km east of China, is known for modern cities, traditional Chinese temples, hot springs resorts and dramatic mountainous terrain. Taipei, in the north, has a number of busy night markets, as well as Chinese Imperial art at the National Palace Museum. Taipei 101, a 509m-tall, bamboo-shaped skyscraper with an observation deck, rises above the city. The verdant mountains of central Taiwan encompass Alishan National Scenic Area, with Tsou aboriginal villages and a narrow-gauge train, and nearby, picturesque Sun Moon Lake. Popular hiking areas include Yushan, a mountain with a 3,952m summit, and the riverside paths of Taroko Gorge, featuring towering cliff walls and turquoise water. Taichung is known for its teahouses. Tainan, Taiwans oldest city, offers numerous temples, Chihkan Tower (a fort originally built by the Dutch in 1653) and local specialties such as fried “coffin bread.” Kenting National Park, in southern Taiwan, is a major beach and water-sports destination. Georgia Drone Flight: Georgia, a country at the intersection of Europe and Asia, is a former Soviet republic thats home to Caucasus Mountain villages and Black Sea beaches. Its famous for Vardzia, a sprawling cave monastery dating to the 12th century, and the ancient wine-growing region Kakheti. The capital, Tbilisi, is known for the diverse architecture and mazelike, cobblestone streets of its old town. Looming above Tbilisi is Narikala Castle, a reconstructed fortress founded in the 4th century and used during later Turkish and Persian occupations. The 11th-century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is one of many notable Georgian Orthodox churches centered on the nearby town of Mtskheta. In the foothills of 5,033m-high Mount Kazbek lies the iconic, 14th-century Gergeti Trinity Church. Gergeti Glacier is a popular trekking destination farther up the mountains slopes. Preserved 9th-century Viking ships are displayed at Oslos Viking Ship Museum. Bergen, with colorful wooden houses, is the starting point for cruises to the dramatic Sognefjord. Norway is also known for fishing, hiking and skiing, notably at Lillehammers Olympic resort. The glowing-red midnight sun and the Northern Lights are visible from Arctic Tromsø and Kirkenes. Also north of the Arctic Circle, the dramatic Lofoten Islands are popular for hiking, kayaking, wildlife-watching and cycling. Saint Kitts and Nevis Drone Flight: Saint Kitts and Nevis is a dual-island nation situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea. Its known for cloud-shrouded mountains and beaches. Many of its former sugar plantations are now inns or atmospheric ruins. The larger of the 2 islands, Saint Kitts, is dominated by the dormant Mount Liamuiga volcano, home to a crater lake, green vervet monkeys and rainforest crisscrossed with hiking trails. Saint Kittss Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park is a well-preserved colonial-era military fortress, with cannons pointed toward the Caribbean Sea. At Frigate Bay, on the islands Atlantic coast, lies a crescent beach thats a popular swimming spot. In the channel between Saint Kitts and Nevis, scuba divers explore Booby Island, with its numerous jackfish and snapper. Theres hiking through Nevis Peaks cloud forest, which has views all the way to nearby Montserrat. On northern Nevis, Pinneys Beach draws snorkellers to see its black coral and parrotfish.
