Guinea Drone Flight: Conakry is the capital of Guinea, a country in West Africa. The city sits on the slender Kaloum Peninsula, which extends into the Atlantic Ocean. Just offshore, the Loos Islands are known for their beaches, dense palm forests and water sports. In town, the enormous Grand Mosque has 4 tall, elegant minarets. Next to the mosque, the large Botanical Garden features kapok trees and tropical flowers. Nearby is the Franco-Guinean Cultural Center, which organizes art exhibitions as well as theater performances. The center is also the main base for Les Ballets Africains, a national dance troupe. To the southwest, near the harbor, is the distinctive red-and-yellow St. Marys Cathedral, built in the early 20th century. The National Museum illustrates Guinean cultural heritage with its collections of statues, masks and musical instruments. Vendors at the bustling Niger Market sell fruit and vegetables. // Guinea is a country in West Africa, bordered on the west by the Atlantic Ocean. Its known for the Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve, in the southeast. The reserve protects a forested mountain range rich in native plants and animals, including chimpanzees and the viviparous toad. On the coast, the capital city, Conakry, is home to the modern Grand Mosque and the National Museum, with its regional artifacts. The sandy beaches of the Loos Islands, near Conakry, are backed by thick palm forests. To the north, Cape Verga has popular beach towns like Bel Air as well as more remote, undeveloped beaches. Fouta Djallon is a highland area in central Guinea. It has rolling grasslands, high mountain peaks and layered sandstone formations eroded over time to create jungle canyons and deep gorges. Two cascades combine to form Bridal Veil Waterfall near the town of Kindia. Native wild dogs roam Badiar Transboundary National Park, on the Senegal border. Olinda: Olinda is a colonial town on Brazils northeast coast, near the city of Recife. Founded in 1535 by the Portuguese, its built on steep hillsides and distinguished by its 18th-century architecture, baroque churches, convents, monasteries and brightly painted houses. Originally a center for the sugarcane industry, its now known as an artists colony, with many galleries, workshops and museums. Alto da Sé, Olindas hilltop cathedral square, has a crafts market and stalls selling acarajé (black-eyed pea fritters). The Caixa dAgua elevator provides panoramic coastal views. The Convent of San Francisco is a baroque religious complex incorporating the white-and-yellow Nossa Senhora das Neves church and cloisters with Portuguese azulejo tiles. The Contemporary Art Museum has thousands of works by Brazilian artists including Candido Portinari. The Museu do Mamulengo displays traditional handcrafted puppets. Dutch colonial influences can be found at the 1630 Cinco Pontas Fort and Ricardo Brennand Institute, which has a large collection of European artist Frans Posts paintings. Guyana Drone Flight: Guyana, a country on South Americas North Atlantic coast, is defined by its dense rainforest. English-speaking, with cricket and calypso music, its culturally connected to the Caribbean region. Its capital, Georgetown, is known for British colonial architecture, including tall, painted-timber St. Georges Anglican Cathedral. A large clock marks the facade of Stabroek Market, a source of local produce. In the countrys heartland is Kaieteur Falls, with a straight 226m plunge. On the Essequibo River to the east is Iwokrama River Lodge and Research Centre, an ecotourism destination offering a canopy walkway through rainforest. It also has Essequibo River petroglyphs and wildlife trails up Turtle Mountain with local Makushi guides. To the west is Mount Roraima, a flat-topped mountain whose sheer walls rise strikingly from the surrounding jungle. In the south is the Rupununi, an area of savanna, wetlands and elusive jaguars. On the northwest coast, Shell Beach is a nesting site for several turtle species. // Georgetown is Guyanas capital, on South Americas North Atlantic coast. The city is culturally connected to the English-speaking Caribbean region and home to British colonial architecture, including the tall, Gothic-style St. Georges Anglican Cathedral. A clock tower rises above Stabroek Market, popular for local goods. The Guyana National Museum traces the countrys history, while the Bourda hosts cricket matches. The Walter Roth Museum of Anthropology has artifacts from indigenous Amerindian tribes. Close by are the State House, where the president lives, and the National Library of Guyana, originally funded by philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. Just south are the neo-Gothic City Hall and the stately Parliament Building. The sprawling, tropical plant–filled Botanical Gardens to the east includes a zoo with many birds. Nearby, the National Gallery of Art is set within the grand, 19th-century Castellani House. Georgetown is also a jumping-off point for trips to Guyanas densely forested interior, where Kaieteur Falls features a wide, single drop. [Source: Google]
