Basseterre Drone Flight: Basseterre is the capital of the Caribbean island federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Its the gateway to popular Saint Kitts beaches like South Friars Bay. At the citys heart, Independence Square has an Italian-inspired fountain. Just off the Circus traffic circle, with its Victorian Berkeley Memorial Clock Tower, is the National Museum. Fortaleza Drone Flight: Fortaleza is the capital of the northeastern Brazilian state of Ceará. Its known for its beaches, which are punctuated by red cliffs, palm trees, dunes and lagoons. Fortalezas long-standing folkloric traditions are presented in dance performances at the art nouveau José de Alencar theater, open since 1910. Another architectural highlight is the neo-Gothic Catedral Metropolitana. Brasilia Drone Flight: Brasília, inaugurated as Brazils capital in 1960, is a planned city distinguished by its white, modern architecture, chiefly designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Laid out in the shape of an airplane, its “fuselage” is the Monumental Axis, 2 wide avenues flanking a massive park. In the “cockpit” is Praça dos Três Poderes, named for the 3 branches of government surrounding it. The iconic Congreso Nacional features 2 domed chambers split by twin towers. Facing the Supremo Tribunal Federal is Palácio do Planalto, the Brazilian presidential offices. Nearby is the Cathedral of Brasília, a crownlike structure with concrete ribs supporting stained glass. The adjacent, igloo-shaped Museu Nacional displays temporary art exhibits. The Brasília TV Tower offers panoramic views from its observation deck. Belo Horizonte Drone Flight: Belo Horizonte is the capital city of southeastern Brazils Minas Gerais state. Surrounded by mountains, the citys known for the vast Mineirão Stadium. Built in 1965, the stadium also houses the Brazilian Football Museum. Nearby are Lake Pampulha and the Pampulha Architectural Complex, home to the wavy-topped Church of St. Francis of Assisi, designed by Brazils modernist architect Oscar Niemeyer. Ulan Bator Drone Flight: Ulaanbaatar is the capital of Mongolia. Its in the Tuul River valley, bordering the Bogd Khan Uul National Park. Originally a nomadic Buddhist center, it became a permanent site in the 18th century. Soviet control in the 20th century led to a religious purge. Soviet-era buildings, museums within surviving monasteries, and a vibrant conjunction of traditional and 21st-century lifestyles typify the modern city. Ulaanbaatars central square, Chinggis Khaan or Sükhbaatar, contains statues of Mongolian leaders. The National Museum traces the countrys heritage, and theres a Soviet-style Cultural Palace. The Gandan and Choijin Lama monasteries survived the purges. Gandan now has resident monks and a 26m gold-leaf statue, and Choijin Lama is a museum. American Virgin Islands Drone Flight: The U.S. Virgin Islands are a group of Caribbean islands and islets. A U.S. territory, its known for white-sand beaches, reefs and verdant hills. St. Thomas island is home to the capital, Charlotte Amalie. To the east is the island of St. John, most of which comprises Virgin Islands National Park. St. Croix island and its historic towns, Christiansted and Frederiksted, are to the south. In St. Thomas, Charlotte Amalie features a cruise-ship harbor, the Skyride aerial tram and a 17th-century watchtower known as Blackbeards Castle. British Virgin Islands Drone Flight: The British Virgin Islands, part of a volcanic archipelago in the Caribbean, is a British overseas territory. Comprising 4 main islands and many smaller ones, its known for its reef-lined beaches and as a yachting destination. Ho Chi Minh City Drone Flight: Ho Chi Minh City (commonly known as Saigon) is a city in southern Vietnam famous for the pivotal role it played in the Vietnam War. Its also known for its French colonial landmarks, including Notre-Dame Cathedral, made entirely of materials imported from France, and the 19th-century Central Post Office. Food stalls line the citys streets, especially around bustling Bến Thành Market. The story of wartime Saigon is told at the War Remnants Museum, the tunnel network at Củ Chi and Independence Palace, where North Vietnamese tanks famously breached the gates in April 1975. The Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens are home to elephants, tigers and rare orchids. Native plants and animals may also be seen at the Cần Giờ Biosphere Reserve, a mangrove forest at the mouth of the Saigon River. Lofoten Drone Flight: Lofoten is an archipelago in Norway. Its known for its dramatic scenery, with peaks like the Svolværgeita pinnacle jutting up into the sky. Himmeltindan Mountain sits on Vestvågøya Island. The nearby Lofotr Viking Museum features a Viking longhouse reconstruction. Cycle routes cover the islands, passing through fishing villages like Henningsvær, which has colorful buildings lining its waterways. To the south, the preserved fishing village Å houses both the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum and the Stockfish Museum. Stockfish is a local delicacy made from spawning cod and found in many of the regions restaurants. The archipelago is a jumping-off point for boating and kayaking trips through the fjords to spot seals, sea eagles and, farther afield, whales. At the southern end of the Lofoten island chain, Røst Reef is a huge, deep-water coral reef. Quebec City Drone Flight: Québec City sits on the Saint Lawrence River in Canadas mostly French-speaking Québec province. Dating to 1608, it has a fortified colonial core, Vieux-Québec and Place Royale, with stone buildings and narrow streets. This area is the site of the towering Château Frontenac Hotel and imposing Citadelle of Québec. The Petit Champlain districts cobblestone streets are lined with bistros and boutiques. Québec Citys famous winter events include Carnaval de Québec, with snow sculptures, sleigh rides and ice skating. Every new year brings the return of the iconic Hôtel de Glace, a temporary venue made entirely of ice and snow, with themed suites, a bar and a chapel.
