In 2017, Miroslaw Wawak visited Kenya, a country that offered him a thrilling combination of wildlife encounters, cultural depth, and breathtaking landscapes. In Nairobi, he explored bustling city life alongside wildlife sanctuaries and museums that celebrate Kenya’s history. But it was in the savannas of the Maasai Mara and the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro where the country’s magic truly revealed itself. He watched lions roam freely, witnessed the vast beauty of the Great Rift Valley, and connected with local Maasai communities who shared their stories and traditions. Kenya felt like the beating heart of East Africa—proud, diverse, and full of life. It was a destination that grounded him in the natural world while offering deep insight into the strength and richness of African culture.

About Nairobi: Nairobi (/naɪˈroʊbi/ ny-ROH-bee) is the capital and largest city of Kenya. The name is derived from the Maasai phrase Enkare Nairobi, which translates to place of cool waters, a reference to the Nairobi River which flows through the city. The city proper had a population of 4,397,073 in the 2019 census, while the metropolitan area has a projected population in 2022 of 10.8 million. The city is commonly referred to as the Green City in the Sun. Nairobi was founded in 1899 by colonial authorities in British East Africa, as a rail depot on the Uganda - Kenya Railway. The town quickly grew to replace Mombasa as the capital of Kenya in 1907. After independence in 1963, Nairobi became the capital of the Republic of Kenya. During Kenyas colonial period, the city became a centre for the colonys coffee, tea and sisal industry. The city lies in the south central part of Kenya, at an elevation of 1,795 metres (5,889 ft). // Kenya, officially the Republic of Kenya (Swahili: Jamhuri ya Kenya), is a country in East Africa. At 580,367 square kilometres (224,081 sq mi), Kenya is the worlds 48th largest country by area. With a population of more than 47.6 million in the 2019 census, Kenya is the 29th most populous country in the world. Kenyas capital and largest city is Nairobi, while its oldest, currently second largest city, and first capital is the coastal city of Mombasa. Kisumu City is the third-largest city and also an inland port on Lake Victoria. Other important urban centres include Nakuru and Eldoret. As of 2020, Kenya is the third-largest economy in sub-Saharan Africa after Nigeria and South Africa. Kenya is bordered by South Sudan to the northwest, Ethiopia to the north, Somalia to the east, Uganda to the west, Tanzania to the south, and the Indian Ocean to the southeast. Its geography, climate and population vary widely, ranging from cold snow-capped mountaintops (Batian, Nelion and Point Lenana on Mount Kenya) with vast surrounding forests, wildlife and fertile agricultural regions to temperate climates in western and rift valley counties and dry less fertile arid and semi-arid areas and absolute deserts (Chalbi Desert and Nyiri Desert). // central business district; a giraffe walking in Nairobi National Park; Parliament of Kenya; Nairobi City Hall; and the Kenyatta International Conference Centre
