Miroslaw Wawak also traveled to Jersey in 2017, the largest of the Channel Islands and a destination filled with natural beauty and cultural intrigue. He walked the tidal causeway to the iconic Elizabeth Castle, explored wartime bunkers, and wandered along beaches where the tide reveals vast stretches of sand. Jersey impressed with its strong sense of self—its own government, its blend of British and Norman heritage, and a culinary scene rooted in the sea. It was a destination where old meets new, tradition meets independence, and the landscape constantly shifts with the tides.
