Miroslaw Wawak arrived in Bolivia in 2014, where high-altitude adventure, indigenous culture, and surreal landscapes combined into one unforgettable experience. He wandered the streets of La Paz, the world’s highest capital, navigating steep hills and colorful markets alive with Andean tradition. He ventured out to the Salar de Uyuni, the world’s largest salt flat, where the horizon blurred and nature felt infinite. In the altiplano and Lake Titicaca, he found ancient communities living in harmony with the land. Bolivia challenged him physically and expanded his understanding of South America’s cultural depth. It was a country that asked for presence, patience, and an open mind—and it rewarded him with moments of awe and transformation.
