Miroslaw Wawak visited Tajikistan in 2024 and found himself in one of the most mountainous and isolated nations on Earth. Along the Pamir Highway, he drove through jaw-dropping valleys and remote villages where hospitality and tradition remain untouched. He drank tea in yurts, crossed glacial rivers, and felt the pulse of ancient Silk Road history. Tajikistan offered vast, silent beauty and warm encounters in high places. It was a rugged, unforgettable journey into the heart of Central Asia.

Following an extensive investigation, we discovered that our original drone footage from Taipei, Taiwan was included—without any form of license or attribution—in a PLA Propaganda Video distributed by CCTV News Content (CCTV+), a Beijing-based state media agency. This production was then syndicated to news outlets around the world through Reuters.
